Wilma Virginia Rogers, 80, of Hoxie, died February 25, 2013, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born November 20, 1932 in Swifton to William Henry and Lacy Mae Johnson Lacy. She retired from DHS and was a pharmacy clerk for Rogers Pharmacy. She was a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge and Charles Chapter 410 OES.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, J.T. Rogers; sister, Claudia Gordon; grandchild, Chris Light.
Survivors include her sons, Dr. James T. Rogers (Lori) of Springfield, MO and Bryian Rogers (Tina) of Jonesboro; daughter, Alice Leonora Light of Hoxie; sister, Lanita Dickerson (Dick) of Hoxie; grandchildren, Angie Douglas, Zachary Light, Ginny, Ben, and Maggie Rogers, Reid, Raney and Ryan Rogers; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday 12:30 to 2:00pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Bob Kary officiating.
Burial will follow in Swifton Cemetery in Swifton.
Pallbearers are Brody VanWinkle, Tanner Jarrett, John Jenness, Dennis Wijaya, Ken Powell, Dennis Coggins.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons.
