Walnut Ridge-  Mrs. Dan Ellison, age 82, (Yvonne Davis Ellison), better known as "Y" to her family and friends, passed from this life at her residence on June 22, 2019 with her family at her side.  She was born to C.H. "Peck" and Madge Forrester Davis on April 8, 1937 in Lawrence County.  In December 1957 she married Dan Ellison in Rockford, Illinois.  Y graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1955. She lived in Memphis, Tennessee prior to  returning to Walnut Ridge.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church serving her church and community in many ways. She delivered Meals on Wheels and kept records for Lawrence Memorial Cemetery for many years. Y was a talented seamstress and loved decorating.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Dan, of the home; a son, Keith Ellison of Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Dana Osborn (Robert) of Somerville, TN; a grandson, Matt Osborn of Somerville, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Bailey Ellison of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Mona Hicks and Sue Hancock of Walnut Ridge; a brother, Ronald Davis (Amy) of Germantown, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Norma Davis, Wanda Davis and Vada Davis, all of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services following at 1 p.m. Jake Guenrich will officiate. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
