- Zada Jewel Dickey, 84 of Walnut Ridge passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. She was born on July 4, 1930 to Everett and Essie Brown Webb in Walnut Ridge. On June 13, 1954 she married Sam Dickey. Zada taught school for thirty years at Walnut Ridge, Stuttgart, and Fayetteville, with the majority of her teaching years spent at Walnut Ridge. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Lawrence County Library Board, Lawrence County Cemetery Board, and a Sr. Democratic delegate for Lawrence County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Sam Dickey and her parents, Everett and Essie Brown Webb.

Survivors include daughters, Edna Clyde White (Stephen) of Chatham, IL and Susan Jackson (Mike) of Walnut Ridge; brother, Tom Webb of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Samantha McGee (Chris), Katie White, and Thomas Jackson and Curtis Jackson; great grandchildren, Owen and Thomas McGee.

Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2015 from 5 until 7 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral service will be 10 am Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Cox Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park with Jake Guenrich officiating.

Pallbearers are Craig Williams, Brad Williams, Dennis Coggins, Billy Ray James, Chris McGee, and Curtis Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge, American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
